Picture KL 2008 Photography Contest
Here another Photography contest present by Soho KL and Menara KL. Submission period starts from 25th June 2008. The closing date is 15th August 2008 by 12 midnight.
How To Enter the Picture KL 2oo8 Photography Contest
Before you go out into Kuala Lumpur looking for that winning shot, first consider the subject matter and the category you are submitting your entry for. There are two themes to choose from for the main categories of competition sponsored by Soho KL and a third theme of KL Sky, which is sponsored by Kuala Lumpur Tower.
1. KL Life - category presented by Soho KL
Photographs must depict the drama of life in Kuala Lumpur, be it in the day or at night. The shot must include the human element in a setting that is identifiably in KL. This means that either the background must include a landmark that is identifiable as being in KL or some element of the subject matter or foreground must be unique to the city. Examples of shots would include portraits of the people of KL; people going about their daily activities – such as shopping, working or at food outlets; crowds of people; individuals; groups of all sizes; performers in costumeparticipating in cultural events. together with the original negatives.
2. KL Humour - category presented by Soho KL
Photographs should be of unusual or humorous sights or events that are or have happened in KL and that are not seen in everyday life. Again, the composition of the shot must include an element that is obviously
identifiable to be in KL. Example shots would include humorous scenes of happenings or incidents that wouldn’t normally occur.
3. KL Sky - category presented by Menara Kuala Lumpur
Photographs should be of the sky above KL and, or the KL skyline. The shot must include elements that are identifiable as being in KL – be it buildings or road-signs. The contestant is free to interpret what
element best represents the city and apply it in a creative manner. Examples could be of rainbows over the city, cloudy skies, shots of lightning, blues skies, sunsets and sunrises.

Langkawi Trip 2008
This is my first time visit Langkawi..heheh..never been there before.

11.30am : Left from my in law house. Drive to Kuala Kedah Jeti.Park car at one of private car park. Parking fee is RM15 per day. I park there 2 days, so RM30.
12.15pm : Enter Kuala Kedah Jeti. Buying the ticket for 6 person. Per person is RM23. It take around 1 hour 30 minute to Langkawi Island. We arrive langkawi at 1.40pm.
