First Aid and CPR Training Course
April 22, 2008 – 11:19 amFirst Aid and CPR Training Course is a 2 - full day competency training program certified by Department of Occupational Safety and Health, Ministry of Human Resource, Malaysia. It is specially designed to train the layperson to become a fully qualified First Aider in order to provide competent help and care to the injured or ill person during an emergency.

Course Content:
1. Introduction and scope of First Aid
2. Basic Life Support (CPR and Choking for Adult, Child and Infant)
3. Trauma Management
-Soft Tissue Injuries
-Musculoskeletal Injuries
4. Wound and Bleeding
5. Shock (Hypoperfusion)
6. Burns and Scalds
7. Injuries to the head and spine
8. Patient Assessment
9. Patient Transport
Course Fee (HRDF- SBL Claimable)
RM 850.00 per person inclusive of:
1) Two (2) full days training with 1 breakfast, 1 buffet lunch and 2 tea breaks
2) Professional Trainers (Comprise of highly qualified and experienced Emergency Physicians, Paramedics, Pre-
hospital professionals who are well trained in the craft of speaking and training.
3) Professional Casualty make-up artist
4) Training Reference Materials
5) One (1) Book of “First Aid Manual”
6) Practical Material (Adult CPR Manikin, Infant Manikin, Choking Manikin, CPR barrier devices, AED
(Automated External Defibrillator), Immobilizers, Splints, Spine care equipment,stretchers, bandages,consumables
material and etc.
7) Audio Visual Aids (Laptop, wireless pointer, LCD /DLP Projector, sound system)
8) Lifelike Simulation drills (at least 3 different emergency scenarios (multiple injuries) will be created, i.e. Accident,
Fire, Robbery, Medical Emergencies and etc.
9) Assessment Fees (CPR Test, Skills Test, Oral Test and Written Test)
10)Certificates of Proficiency and Course Completion Card (First Aider ID card)
11) A Photo CD (Contain all photos and video clips taken along the training)
12) A CPR Poster for each participant
Certification:
Having completed and passed the course, participants will be awarded with a Certificate of Proficiency and a Course Completion Card which are both nationally (Department of Occupational Safety and Health) and internationally ( American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons) recognized.
