How to take a snapshot on your mac

This is a found out how to take snapshot on your mac. Have 3 option

1. Take snapshot any area of screen

  • Press command + shift + 4, pointer become crosshair
  • Just select what you want to snap
  • Release the crosshair and you can hear click sound.
  • Your picture will save on your harddrive with name ‘Picture1′. In my case, file will save on desktop.

2. Take snapshot of single window

  • Press caps lock key
  • Press command + shift + 4, pointer become crosshair
  • Select what you want to snap over the window or dialog bog
  • Release the crosshair and you can hear click sound.
  • Your picture will save on your harddrive with name ‘Picture1′. In my case, file will save on desktop.

3. Take snapshot of whole window

  • Press command + shift + 3
  • Your picture will save on your harddrive with name ‘Picture1′. In my case, file will save on desktop

  2. hi, just read through your posts about macs, since i’m a mac user too. for the screenshot shorcuts, there’s actually one more which is cmd + shift + 4 and press space bar after hitting the combo key. you’ll see a camera, and with this, you can take screenshot of the selected window. you don’t have to select from top right to lower left anymore. just give it a try….
