WordPress 2.6.2 story

Hahaha…funny when my hosting called my wife regarding our current wordpress version (2.6.2) make their server crash. The server was down around 10 minute. After their server down, one of the engineer call my wife asking her to upgrade or wordpress to 2.8.5 coz 2.6.2 version got leaked(reason from them)…I know that they provide one click function to upgrade in fantastico but i’m too lazy. I tot 2.6.2 version already stable….

Lucky they didn’t suspend our account for 2nd time…hehehe…if they suspend…say bye bye to MalaysianHoster…

Automatic Upgrade

Recent versions of WordPress feature an Automatic Upgrade. You can launch the automatic upgrade by clicking the link in the new version banner (if it’s there) or by going to the Tools -> Upgrade menu. After that it should be straightforward.

Automatic Upgrades do fail sometimes, though, so remember to backup your database first, and deactivate your plugins before starting the upgrade.

Note that your files all need to be owned by the user under which your Apache server executes, or you will receive a dialog box asking for “connection information,” and you will find that no matter what you enter, it won’t work.

If the automatic upgrade doesn’t work for you, don’t panic, just try a manual upgrade.

Streamyx vs P1 Wimax Ads War

Hahhaha..funny lor…but last time i also ‘potong’ but ‘sambung balik’(not my ‘tut’ aaaa…my internet service aa)…Don’t like P1 Wimax service…always no connection and need to adjust my modem to get the signal..but with streamyx..at lease i got connection even it slow..still can browse…

Blackberry Appworld on ANY Country

My Device : Blackberry Bold 9000

Country : Malaysia

Actually Blackberry Appworld only available  in some country. Malaysia is not one of them. I found a solution from crackberry forum how to use the application and i manage to install and use it.

1. Download the following .Zip File RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting – Easy Filehosting
2. Unzip it to your desktop
3. Copy the files net_rim_bb_appworld.cod, net_rim_bb_appworld_resource_en.cod and JavaLoader.exe to the following folder depending on your Windows OS:
3.1 In Windows Vista “C:\Users\(Your User)
3.2 In Windows XP “C:\DocumentsandSettings\(Your User)
4. Start CMD (Windows Key + R and then type CMD)
5. Plug-in your BlackBerry
6. Type: javaloader -u load net_rim_bb_appworld_resource_en.cod
once done type next one:
7- Type: javaloader -u load net_rim_bb_appworld.cod

Afterwards your device will reboot and you will have it installed on your device
Tested on Javelin and Bold so far… Not sure if it will work on other devices!

STORM Users:

1. Download the following .Zip file: RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting – Easy Filehosting
2. Unzip it to your desktop
3. Run the Blackberry Desktop Manager
4. Select Application Loader
5. Select Add / Remove Applications
6. Select Browse and look at your desktop for the file “appworld.alx” and select it.
7. Click Next and then Finish.
