We have an open position for exceptionally strong software engineer that is grounded with good fundamentals of software engineering plus the ability to pick up new language or framework to join our rock star engineering team, currently operating in three geographical locations i.e. Seattle, U.K and Malaysia.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

Software development using Agile methodology.

Database design and management.

Collaboration with engineering team in Seattle and U.K.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess a Degree in Information Systems / Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Minimum 2 years experience in web software development.

Minimum 5 years experience in overall software development.

Strong working knowledge with Object-Oriented Analysis, Design and Implementation.

Demonstrated ability in designing complex database-oriented backend application systems.

Competent working with MySQL and writing effective and complex queries

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Expertise in one of the following development environments is required

- Java / JSP / PHP

- Experience with Ruby on Rails is helpful!

Comfortable working with at least one dynamically typed scripting language like Ruby, Python, Perl or Smalltalk.

Knowledge in the following areas will be a plus:

- Photoshop, Dreamweaver

- Linux O/S administration

- Network management

Self Starter, without much direct supervision

Independent, Autonomous and Result-oriented work ethics

Excellent judgment, problem solving and analytical abilities

Full Time, to be based in Petaling Jaya

This position reports to the Director of Technologies, based in Seattle
