Strategy to improve my blog traffic

I’m writing here based my experience. I’m still young in blogger world. So i’m trying to get people come to my blog and get the traffic. Here some strategy that i use :

1. Don’t write what other people write. Create your own story or try to present the story in other way. Example for most people write is about ‘adsense’. Imagine how many people write about it. One world write it.
2. Try to write about what happen in your local country.
3. Put the unique keyword and think keyword that people will search.
4. Write the latest and hottest issue. Example i write about result final UEFA Champions League. People will search to know the result. Try to be the first one writing about it.
5. Join popular forum, put your blog link as signature and make yourself active in forum.
6. Submit your blog to technorati or join any blog community such as BlogMalaysia.com

How to make your blog safe?

I’m always scared with security issue. Hacker can come in anytime. So this is what i’m doing to make my blog safe.

1. Use strong password for your wordpress admin.
2. Always backup your latest of wordpress, themes, plugins and image folder to somewhere else daily or weekly.
3. Full backup of your database. Can use this plugins. If anything happen, you can restore back.
4. Alerts with security vulnerabilities and upgrades. You can find it at WordPress Wednesday news on the Blog Herald, WordPress Planet (official WordPress aggregator), the WordPress Development Blog, and Weblog Tools Collection.
5. Maybe you can install wordpress scanner for blog security.
6. Always check your file from unwanted link.

Unable to access my blog

This is first time i having a problem with my hosting. I getting difficulty accessing my domain. My wife login to their support website and create a ticket with priority 2 and asking why cannot access my site . They ask me back whether i changing some setting in my account. Because they check the server not down and other site working find.

Then my wife try to figure out why this thing happen. She able to ftp using ip but NOT using domain. She reply to the ticket said maybe this is because DNS problem. After 5 minute, they reply back and found out that DNS got problem. And they tell that it will resolve in 24 hour…Aren’t 24 hours for fixing DNS issue too long? Is this normal with malaysia hoster hosting? …If 24 hours..then bad support..

A day before, ady already inform me that my dns got problem. cannot access to my blog. Thanks ady coz inform me.

This morning, i try access my site…its back…
Lucky they fix the problem within 6 hours(maybe) and not 24 hours ..now my blog getting up back…….
