Upgrade my wordpress to version 2.7
December 13, 2008 – 12:05 amThanks nazham for the plugins info…Before this, i’m using my fantastico to upgrade my wordpress version but with the plugins, i manage to upgrade it early without waiting my hosting to provide new wordpress..

Here i wanna share my upgrade experience..
Link to upgrade after activate the plugins..
1 : Backup all current files
2 : backup database
3 : Select the optional table to backup
4 : Download latest wordpress
5 : Set you blog main page to maintenance mode
6 : De-activates all the plugins
7 : Upgarde all the installation files
8 : Success upgrade
9 : Upgrade database
10 : Re-activates all plugins
11 : Done
My new admin page 
Until here..i will continue explore the new layout..

Bro kalu saya install WP dulu cara manual, tak guna fantastico. Boleh guna plugin ni utk upgrade WP tak? Rasa malas plak nak guna cara manual huhu.

I should try this plugin at my dummy blog first..

Don’t want this 2.7 messed up my current theme..it’s hard to find theme mcm ni

yeah..agree with..test it first at your dummy blog@localhost..i just gamble update direct into my main blog because i don’t have dummy blog

You can use WordPress Database Backup (database only) or BackUpWordPress (database and files)

i hv upgraded my site, but somehow .. it didnt work on my other sites. hv to do it manually.
