Watch RMVB file with subtitle(srt) on Leopard

September 16, 2008 – 12:07 am

Here the step that i implement to play RMVB file with subtitle(srt). Thanks to gary for his help.

1. Download MPlayer OSX. You need the player to play rmvb. Can use Real Player but cannot load the subtitle.

2. At the same page, scroll down and fine Binary Codec Package section. Then download the package. Binary codec packages add support for codecs that are not yet implemented natively, like newer RealVideo variants and a lot of uncommon formats. Without the package, you can run rmvb file via MPlayer but cannot view the movie. Close MPlayer before run the package.

3. Make sure you rmvb file and subtitle(srt) file using same name.

4. Done. Now you can play the rmvb movie with subtitle..Cool right.. :)

Thanks Soooooooooooooo Much!!! But one Crucial step is missing in you instructions.

*Launch MPlayer go to Preferences > General > Subtitle Settings > Font *** Select a Font *** > OK*

Now you’ll be able to see the Subtitles
